De Volvo Duett werd gebruikt voor meerdere doeleinden. Hij was beschikbaar als comfortabele sedan, maar ook als praktische bezorgauto. Er waren 3 verschillende uitvoeringen; gesloten bestelauto, bestelauto met ramen en zelfs als ambulance. De Duett werd geproduceerd van 1953 tot en met 1969. De modellen bestonden uit 2 verschillende titels. De PV445 is hier één van. De carrosserie van de PV445 was gebaseerd op die van de PV444 berline en had dezelfde tweedelige vlakke voorruit. Hiernaast was er nog de P210. De P210 verving de P445 in het midden van 1960. Hij is erg vergelijkbaar met de PV445. Hij is ervan te onderscheiden aan zijn gebogen windscherm uit één stuk, dat hij deelt met de PV544, ook bekend als de 'Kattenrug'.

Het gaat hier om een Custom-Made Volvo Duett pick-up uit 1966. Hij is origineel Zweeds, en in 2011 voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken geregistreerd. Het basismodel van deze auto is een 21134 F, een P210 of een Duett. Er zijn meerdere titels om uit te kiezen. De kleur bestaat uit een olijfgroene lak samen met een comfortabel zwartlederen interieur. De houten laadbak geeft een retro uiterlijk aan deze unieke Volvo. Het interieur bestaat uit zwarte lederen stoelen, samen met het originele dashboard & stuur, zwarte hemelbekleding en zwarte tapijten. Onderaan de auto zijn er chroom wieldoppen die nog van mooie kwaliteit zijn. Dit geldt ook voor de andere chroom-details rondom de auto. Onder de houten laadbak is er een harde & roestvrije onderkant aanwezig. Voor als de pick-up nog niet praktischer kon, is er aan de achterkant een trekhaak inbegrepen.

De Zweedse klassieker is in circa 2015 volledig gerestaureerd. Dit is deels terug te zien in de fotorapportage die aanwezig is. Tijdens zijn restauratie is er veel gebeurd. Hij is volledig gedemonteerd, tot aan het carrosserie. Hier is het plaatwerk geschuurd, en wanneer nodig, bewerkt en verwijderd van roest. Hierna is hij gespoten in zijn huidige groene lak. Deels van deze restauratie, heeft plaatsgevonden bij de welbekende Volvo-Klassiekers te Barneveld. Op dit complete process is niet bespaard, en dat is ook terug te zien aan de huidige staat van de pick-up. De auto loopt zeer goed op zowel benzine als LPG. Hij is voorzien van een nieuwe LPG-installatie. Deze zit netjes verborgen onder de laadbak.

Hij is uitgevoerd met het welbekende 'B18' motorblok. Deze motor heeft te titel van indrukwekkend duurzaam gekregen. Dit is mede doordat de auto met de meeste kilometers te wereld (Volvo P1800S 1966), meer dan 5 miljoen kilometers hiermee heeft gereden. Het bestaat uit een 1.8 liter in-lijn-vierciliinder. Hij werd gemaakt van 1961 tot en met 1968 en produceert zo'n 75pk. Hieraan gekoppeld, is een handgeschakelde 4-versnellingstransmissie. Het motorblok loopt goed en schakelt soepel.

The Volvo Duett was used for multiple purposes. It was available as a comfortable sedan, but also as a practical delivery car. There were 3 different versions; closed van, windowed van and even as an ambulance. The Duett was produced from 1953 to 1969. The models consisted of 2 different titles. The PV445 is one of them. The body of the PV445 was based on that of the PV444 saloon and had the same two-piece flat windscreen. Next to this was the P210. The P210 replaced the P445 in the mid-1960s. It is very similar to the PV445. It can be distinguished from it by its curved one-piece windshield, which it shares with the PV544, also known as the 'Cat Back'.

This is a Custom-Made Volvo Duett pick-up from 1966. It is originally Swedish, and first registered on Dutch registration plates in 2011. The base model of this car is a 21134 F, a P210 or a Duett. There are several titles to choose from. The colour consists of an olive green paint along with a comfortable black leather interior. The wooden cargo box gives a retro look to this unique Volvo. The interior consists of black leather seats along with the original dashboard & steering wheel, black headliner and black carpets. At the bottom of the car, there are chrome hubcaps that are still of nice quality. The same goes for the other chrome details around the car. Under the wooden cargo box, there is a hard & rust-free underside present. For if the pick-up couldn't be more practical yet, a tow bar is included at the rear.

The Swedish classic was fully restored in about 2015. This is partly reflected in the photo report that is present. During its restoration, a lot has happened. It has been completely dismantled, right down to the bodywork. Here, the sheet metal was sanded, and when necessary, machined and removed of rust. After this, it was painted in its current green paint. Part of this restoration, took place at the well-known Volvo Classics in Barneveld. No savings were made on this complete process, which is reflected in the pick-up's current condition. The car runs very well on both petrol and LPG. It has been fitted with a new LPG installation. This is neatly hidden under the cargo box.

It is fitted with the well-known 'B18' engine block. This engine has been given the title of impressively durable. This is partly because the car with the most kilometres in the world (Volvo P1800S 1966), has driven more than 5 million kilometres with it. It consists of a 1.8-litre in-line four-cylinder. It was made from 1961 to 1968 and produces around 75hp. Paired with this, is a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs well and shifts smoothly.
