Volledig gerestaureerde Works Ford Escort MK1 RS1600 met racehistorie in nieuwstaat!

Deze originele fabrieks Escort is voorzien van de befaamde 1600 BDA motor met HART-kleppendeksel en originele Weber 45 carburateurs wat een vermogen levert van circa 215-235pk. Doordat in 1970 de fabriek nog niet klaar was, zijn de eerste 260 MK1’s RS1600 gebouwd in de Twin Cam fabriek, hierdoor zijn ze dus extra bijzonder en vooral schaars.

Deze RS1600 is volledig rally / race geprepareerd en uitgerust met onder andere een safety device rolkooi, Tony Law uitlaatspruitstuk, Works gasmechanisme, Gartrac Pedalbox, Dry sump oliesysteem, Dubbele benzinetank, pompen en accu, aangepaste koeling en versnellingsbak, verstevigde voorophanging met aangepaste stuurinrichting, 15’’ Revolution velgen, Atlas vierling achteras + Proflex schokbrekers, AP RVS remsysteem en diverse andere extra’s. Ook is de carrosserie volledig doorgelast.

Het originele dashboard is nog in een mooie staat met de juiste patina, verder is het interieur aangepast met nieuwe Cobra ‘’bucketseats’’, elektrisch spanbare driepuntsgordels en QCP hydraulische handrem.

Vanaf restauratie slechts een aantal testkilometers gereden om alles op functie te controleren. Kosten noch moeite zijn gespaard om van deze originele Works Escort RS1600 weer een perfecte rallyauto te maken, dit is met veel kennis en oog voor detail gedaan.

RAC rally logboek is aanwezig, evenals documentatie en foto’s.

Wij kunnen tevens de exportdocumenten voor u regelen. Eventueel met verzekering voor 2 weken is ook mogelijk!

Fully restored Works Ford Escort MK1 RS1600 with racing history in new condition!

This original factory Escort is equipped with the famous 1600 BDA engine with HART valve cover and original Weber 45 carburettors which delivers an output of approximately 215-235 hp. Because the factory was not yet ready in 1970, the first 260 MK1's RS1600 were built in the Twin Cam factory, making them extra special and, above all, scarce.

This RS1600 is fully rally / race prepared and equipped with a safety device roll cage, Tony Law exhaust manifold, Works throttle mechanism, Gartrac Pedalbox, Dry sump oil system, Dual fuel tank, pumps and battery, modified cooling and gearbox, reinforced front suspension with modified steering gear, 15 '' Revolution rims, Atlas quad rear axle + Proflex shock absorbers, AP stainless steel braking system and various other extras. The body is also fully welded.

The original dashboard is still in a beautiful condition with the correct patina, furthermore the interior has been modified with new Cobra "bucket seats", electrically tensionable three-point seat belts and QCP hydraulic handbrake.

Only a few test kilometers from restoration to check everything for function. No expense has been spared to make this original Works Escort RS1600 a perfect rally car again, this has been done with a lot of knowledge and an eye for detail.

RAC rally logbook is available, as well as documentation and photos.
