In de jaren 80 was Ferrari op dreef wanneer het ging om het ontwerpen en produceren van populaire sportauto's. Dit probeerden ze uiteraard te herleven met een nieuwe opvolger van hun geliefde modellen zoals de 308 en de 328. In 1989 was het eindelijk zo ver. De eerste exemplaren van de Ferrari 348 reden de fabriek uit. Deze werd net als zijn voorouders, uitgevoerd met een V8. Productie werd daarentegen wel gelimiteerd. Dit kwam, voor alle uitvoeringen bij elkaar, op een aantal van nog geen 9.000 stuks. En dit terwijl er maar liefs 6 verschillende soorten van de 348 waren. Dit waren de TS, TB, Challenge, GTS, GTB en als laatste, de desbetreffende Spider. Het aantal geproduceerde modellen van de Spider waren gelimiteerd tot slechts 1.090 exemplaren. De verkoop van de 348-lijn liep door tot en met 1994.

Het betreft hier een Ferrari 348 Spider uit 1993. Zijn leeftijd is niet terug te zien in de staat van zowel het fraaie interieur als de carrosserie. Uitgevoerd in de welbekende en prachtige 'Rosso Corsa' tegenover een 'Nero' lederen interieur. Het uiterlijk van deze klassieke Italiaanse sportauto is werkelijk tijdloos. Dit vormt dan ook een perfecte combinatie samen met de sportiviteit.

Er zijn veel interessante aspecten die te bezien zijn aan de Ferrari. Binnenin kan je luxueuze mogelijkheden vinden zoals elektrische ramen & spiegels, airconditioning, spiegelverwarming, mistlampen voor én achter, en meer diversen. Boven het dashboard van de auto is er een Becker Traffic Assist Pro Ferrari navigatiesysteem te vinden. Wanneer je het klepje in de middenconsole naar boven haalt krijg je de Blaupunkt radio te bezien. De Ferrari is uitgevoerd met zijn originele 17 inch lichtmetalen velgen die het uiterlijk helemaal compleet maken. Als je de kofferbak aan de voorkant open maakt zijn er diverse interessante dingen te vinden. Als eerst is er nog de originele koffer aanwezig die inbegrepen is met een tool-kit. Hiernaast ligt er nog een afdekhoes voor de soft-top.

Onder de motorkap ligt er een krachtige 3.4 liter V8. Deze is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak. Dit motorblok produceert zo'n 320pk samen met 324nm koppel. 0-100 legt hij af binnen een indrukwekkende 5,4 seconden. Een sportieve rijervaring is dus gegarandeerd. De Ferrari loopt netjes en schakelt soepel.

Het verhaal van deze 348 Spider begon allemaal bij Rothe Automobile in Hamburg 1993. Hier werd de Ferrari aangeschaft en in dezelfde regio ook rondgereden. Dit duurde ongeveer 5 jaar, totdat hij op 8 december 1998 met 64.000 km naar Engeland werd geëxporteerd. Onder de Engelse zon heeft hij de meeste tijd van zijn leven heeft doorgebracht. Er zijn talloze facturen, keuringen en diverse andere documenten aanwezig waaruit blijkt dat kosten nog moeite bespaard zijn gebleven om deze auto in goede conditie te houden. Ferrari Specialisten zoals Lucas Neal, Dick Lovett en de welbekende gebroeders Mike & Graham Reeder, maar ook andere gespecialiseerde bedrijven hebben deze 348 met zorg onderhouden en daar is niet op bespaard. Dit zijn bedrijven zoals Damax, SG Motorsport Services en meer. Door de grote hoeveelheid aan documenten en kopieën van het onderhoudsboek, is het verloop van de tellerstand aantoonbaar en logisch. Na grotendeels zijn leven te hebben doorgebracht in Engeland, werd hij net na de 100.000 kilometers geëxporteerd naar Italië. Dit duurde tot halverwege 2014, wanneer de Ferrari voor het eerst op Nederlands kenteken werd geregistreerd. Sinds dien is hij voor de laatste 9 jaar in het bezit geweest van dezelfde eigenaar welke de auto nu via ons wil verkopen.

In the 1980s, Ferrari was on a roll when it came to designing and producing popular sports cars. They were obviously trying to revive this with a new successor to their beloved models like the 308 and the 328. In 1989, it was finally here. The first examples of the Ferrari 348 drove out of the factory. Like its ancestors, it was equipped with a V8. Production, on the other hand, was limited. For all versions together, this came to less than 9,000 units. And this while there were no less than six different versions of the 348. These were the TS, TB, Challenge, GTS, GTB and finally, the Spider. The number of Spider models produced were limited to just 1,090 units. Sales of the 348 line continued through 1994.

This is a 1993 Ferrari 348 Spider. Its age is not reflected in the condition of both the fine interior and bodywork. Executed in the well-known and beautiful 'Rosso Corsa' opposite a 'Nero' leather interior. The look of this classic Italian sports car is truly timeless. This therefore forms a perfect combination together with the sportiness.

There are many interesting aspects to consider about the Ferrari. Inside, you can find luxurious features like electric windows & mirrors, air conditioning, mirror heating, front & rear fog lights, and more miscellaneous. Above the car's dashboard, you can find a Becker Traffic Assist Pro Ferrari navigation system. When you pull up the flap in the centre console, you get to see the Blaupunkt radio. The Ferrari is fitted with its original 17-inch alloy wheels that complete the look. Opening the boot at the front reveals several interesting things. First up is the original toolbox which is included with a tool-kit. Next to this is a cover for the soft-top.

Under the bonnet there is a powerful 3.4-litre V8. This is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine produces around 320hp along with 324nm of torque. It covers 0-100 in an impressive 5.4 seconds. So a sporty driving experience is guaranteed. The Ferrari runs cleanly and shifts smoothly.

The story of this 348 Spider all started at Rothe Automobile in Hamburg 1993. This is where the Ferrari was purchased and driven around the same region. This lasted about 5 years, until it was exported to England on 8 December 1998 with 64,000 km. Under the English sun it spent most of its life. Numerous invoices, inspections and various other documents are present, showing that no expense was spared to keep this car in good condition. Ferrari Specialists such as Lucas Neal, Dick Lovett and the well-known brothers Mike & Graham Reeder, as well as other specialised companies, have maintained this 348 with care and no expense has been spared. These include companies such as Damax, SG Motorsport Services and more. Due to the large amount of documents and copies of the service book, the progression of the odometer reading is demonstrable and logical. After spending most of its life in England, it was exported to Italy just after the 100,000 kilometres mark. This lasted until mid-2014, when the Ferrari was first registered on Dutch plates. Since then, it has been owned for the last 9 years by the same owner who now wants to sell the car through us.
