This original Swedish-delivered 1986 Volkswagen Caravelle T3 Carat is a beautiful example finished in two-tone ''Dove grey'' metallic, which was 1 of only 2 colours available for the Carat. The interior consists of luxurious grey/blue velour upholstery. The Caravelle Carat is equipped with an array of luxury features. The 2.1-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, produces around 112 hp. A new battery and starter motor were recently fitted, along with new trims. This can be proven by invoices. In addition, various inspections have been carried out and the original sales brochure is still present. The VW has been well maintained and comes directly from Sweden.
The Caravelle was the passenger van version of the T3, of which the Carat was the "top of the range" version. This Carat had standard luxury equipment including metallic paint, alloy wheels, fold-away table, seats with armrests, a Hi-Fi audio system. With other options like seat heating, air conditioning and electrically adjustable mirrors, occupants enjoyed a first-class experience. The rear section offers four facing seats with a folding table, surrounded by speakers, spot lights and various storage compartments. Rear ventilation ensures a pleasant climate during the ride. With a total of six spacious and swivelling individual seats, the car lends itself ideally to holidays or road trips.
