The Jeep CJ-7 is the 7th generation of the CJ models. This model comes from 1984 and was seen as “The Last of a Great Breed”. Production of the CJ models ran from 1976 to 1986. In all these years, 10 generations of the CJ models were designed. At the end of production, a total of almost 380,000 units had been built. The major difference between the CJ-5 and the CJ-7 was the chassis, which consisted of two parallel C-shaped beams running the full length of the vehicle. To improve handling, the rear section of the chassis was widened so that the springs and shock absorbers could be mounted closer to the outside of the body. In addition to the standard two-speed transfer case, the CJ-7 also received an optional automatic four-wheel drive system, the Quadra-Trac.
This example is equipped with a 4.2 liter in-line six-cylinder engine that produces about 110 HP. This CJ-7 has a beautiful red paint and a black leather interior. It is a neat and classic 4-seater convertible that offers nothing but fun. When trouble comes your way, the powerful Warn winch is always there to come to your rescue.
The strong 6-cylinder has proven its strength when it took part in the CarChallenge in 2011. 9000 kilometers have been covered here which this Jeep has endured without any problems. The route of this road trip was; drive from Suriname to Peru, right through South America. Through the Amazon and across the Andes, through jungles, mountain passes and salt flats – a journey of nine thousand kilometers of which at least three thousand over places where there is not even a road. The route starts in Paramaribo and then leads via French Guiana to Brazil, Bolivia and finally the Peruvian capital Lima.
When it comes to documentation, several invoices are present. The original American car still has a nice body and the interior looks neat. The same applies to the aluminum rims that still have a nice appearance. For his South American adventure, about €6,500 has been spent on repairs to prepare him completely for his road trip.
Powerful and classic. He has lived his adventures and can't wait for those to come!
