The Jaguar Mk 2 was a midsize sedan built from 1959 to 1967 as a successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 liter models. The Mk 2 was a handy, powerful and a good handling sedan offered with a choice of three six-cylinder dual-cam engines; 2.4 liter, 3.4 liter or 3.8 liter. From the outside it actually looked very much like the Mk I, but closer inspection reveals that the differences are greater than it first appears.

In all areas, the car has been subtly improved. Thanks in part to larger windows and thinner window bars, the car took on a more open character. The increased track width due to a wider rear axle compared to the Mk I in combination with the modified front suspension benefited the handling considerably. Changes were also made in the interior. For example, the tachometer and speedometer were moved to a position directly in front of the driver instead of the traditional position in the center of the dashboard.
Also the new steering wheel with half ring for the horn made its introduction with the Mk II. In addition he was equipped with the new Dunlop disc brakes all around instead of drum brakes. The 220-hp 3.8-liter engine variant became the most sought after.

Needless to say, performance was excellent and the Mk II enjoyed great success on the track and can still be a very competitive historic race car. Raced by such famous names as Stirling Moss, Bruce McLaren Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes, the Mk II achieved many successes on circuits and car races in both Europe and the United States thanks to the good controllability and great torque of the 3.8 XK engine.

The special thing about the Mk 2 is that almost everyone knows this Jaguar. There will be plenty of memories evoked (Thanks in part to Inspector Morse) when an Mk 2 drives by. In addition, the model is known as one of the best-driving cars in its class at the time. And today it is still a pleasant driving car.

Its particularly sporty driving characteristics combined with excellent daily usability makes the car a pleasant and comfortable travel companion to this day. And the nostalgia combined with the good driving performance make the driver and passengers smile broadly every time they drive.

The beautiful color scheme of the gray 'Gunmetal' paint combined with the red leather interior makes this car a feast for the eyes. The quality of both the interior and the paint is still very nice. In addition to the red leather interior, the Walnut wood dashboard and details complete this car.

The very popular 3.8 6 cylinder is standard equipped with disc brakes. Very special for a sedan of that era. The disc brakes are very effective. This is reflected in the 'Disc brakes' badge on the rear. Power brakes are also applicable. Also present are the optional fog lights. Underneath the car is a new stainless steel exhaust. In the trunk you will find the spare tire along with the original jack.

A neat Gentleman's Express in the most popular 3.8 liter version and color scheme!
