Honda N360 1971
- Very light car
- Original NL car
- 23 years 1 owner
- Beautiful color combination of a red exterior finished with a black vinyl interior
An lucrative and reliable model. That's what Honda was aiming for with the N360. Road tax was low as the car has a curb weight of only 532kg. The low weight, together with the narrow 10-inch wheels, makes it a very beneficial car. Because of this, he fell under the Japanese “kei cars.”
At the time of its production, Honda was best known for its motorcycles. Cars were not really their top priority. The cars were only offered in few places. This model is a cross between a motorcycle and a car. For clarity, they added an N for the 360. The N stands for Norimono, which means vehicle in Japanese. The 360 was then equal to the cylinder capacity of 354cc. Later, the more recent 2012 model, the N-One, is based on its iconic predecessors of the N sedans.
The N360, also known as “The Scamp”, as it was known in Australia, was exhibited at the 13th Tokyo Motor Show in 1966. The new price was also announced that day. At the time, this was 313,000 yen (€2,275.20). Which was tens of thousands of yen less than the competing models. 3 months after it was put up for sale, 22,500 units had already been sold.
For a car of 51 years old, both the exterior and interior are in good condition. The chrome window frames and bumpers have some platinum, but are in fine condition. In order to get the best possible comfort from the leaf springs, they have been placed as far back as possible, which results in the fact that there is a recess in the bumper. It was owned by 1 owner for 23 years and recently got a new battery.
