Burton: a Dutch kit car based on the Citroën 2CV. These cars are delivered ready-to-go or as a kit and are made of polyester. A sporty car on both optical and technical level with a high fun factor, but affordable! The one we offered has a beautiful colour combination of a black paintwork with red leather interior. Combined with alloy wheels, it is a sporty but also stylish appearance. The original 2CV (also known as "Eend") was originally delivered to the Netherlands in 1987 and has had only 3 owners since then, with the current owner owning the car since 2019. The condition is fine with no damage on both the exterior and the interior. The engine compartment and boot are also in clean condition. The car comes with extensive documentation such as price lists, news articles and club information. It also has a spare key, tonneau cover and triangle. With these, the Burton can be attached behind a camper so that it can be taken on holiday. It hardly gets more fun! The Burton drives well and is ready for years of driving pleasure.
General information about the Citroën 2CV Burton
Burton's genesis began in 1993, when brothers Dimitri and Iwan Göbel started a garage and import business in the Netherlands of Citroën 2CVs. In 1998, they started designing a sports car, whose design was inspired by car brands such as Bugatti and Jaguar. By 2000, the Burton was born and was introduced to the general public. Since then, the car has remained a success with many enthusiasts. Basically, the old chassis of a 2CV is used and the registration number remains unchanged. Thanks mostly to an overhaul of the engine and gearbox and a completely new body, most Burton's are practically as good as new. Thanks to their affordability, fine handling and relatively easy maintenance, Burton's are still as popular as ever.
