De Iso Grifo is een Grand Tourer in beperkte productie, vervaardigd door de Italiaanse autofabrikant Iso Autoveicoli S.p.A. tussen 1965 en 1974. Bedoeld om te concurreren met Grand Touring aanbiedingen van Ferrari en Maserati. Men gebruikte een reeks Amerikaanse aandrijflijnen en componenten die werden geleverd door Chevrolet en Ford. Styling werd gedaan door Giorgetto Giugiaro bij Bertone, terwijl de mechanica het werk was van Giotto Bizzarrini.
De eerste productie-GT-modellen verschenen in 1965 en werden aangedreven door Amerikaanse Chevrolet small-block 327 (5,4-liter) V8-motoren.

Iso Grifo Can Am Series I
In oktober 1966 werd de eerste Grifo (productie nr. 97) met een targa-dak getoond op de Autosalon van Turijn. Ontworpen door Bertone en voorzien van het prachtige verwijderbare dak, de betrouwbare 300 pk sterke Chevy 327 V8 en de begeerde ZF 5-versnellingsbak.
In totaal werden 330 Series I- en 83 Series II-auto's gebouwd voor in totaal 413 auto's, waarvan 90 7-literversies. De zeldzaamste zijn de Series II 5-versnellingen (23 eenheden), de Series I Targa (14 eenheden) en de Series II (4 eenheden). Vanwege de geringe productie-aantallen zijn de Grifo's een zeldzaamheid en daardoor tegenwoordig gewilde verzamelobjecten.

De aangeboden ISO Grifo Series 1 (productie nummer 79) is een uitzonderlijk exemplaar met zeer weinig gereden km's op de teller (6100 km). Het is een automaat en heeft een schadevrij verleden. Het eerste prototype van de Serie 1 Targa, productie nummer 97, werd gefabriceerd in oktober 1966 bestemd voor de Turijn Auto Show 1966. Bijzonder aan de Targa uitvoering zijn de uitneembare dakdelen en dit gegeven inspireerde de 2e eigenaar dusdanig dat hij zijn, in september 1966 gemaakte, ISO Grifo Series 1, in 1968 professioneel volgens fabriek specificaties, heeft laten ombouwen naar de Targa uitvoering.
Origineel zijn er door de fabriek 14 stuks Series 1 afgeleverd van het model Targa en 4 stuks van de Series 2, hierdoor zijn deze auto's zeer gewilde objecten geworden bij de verzamelaars van klassieke Italiaanse automobielen.

The Iso Grifo is a limited-production Grand Tourer manufactured by the Italian car manufacturer Iso Autoveicoli S.p.A. between 1965 and 1974. Intended to compete with Grand Touring offerings from Ferrari and Maserati. One used a range of American powertrains and components supplied by Chevrolet and Ford. Styling was done by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone, while mechanics were the work of Giotto Bizzarrini.
The first production GT models appeared in 1965 and were powered by American Chevrolet small-block 327 (5.4-liter) V8 engines.

Iso Grifo Can Am Series I
In October 1966, the first Grifo (production No. 97) with a targa roof was shown at the Turin Motor Show. Designed by Bertone, it featured the beautiful removable roof, the reliable 300-hp Chevy 327 V8 and the coveted ZF 5-speed automatic transmission.
